Agreed. It’s not always sunny in Innsbruck but it is most of the time, especially when remembering the outdoor poster exhibition at IMC2019! Looking back, it now seems fortunate that IMC2019 took place, enabling personal exchange and interaction among 500+ participants and yielding useful experiences for developing IMC further.

At that time, no one could have imagined how the world would change a few months later: personal contact endangered health, daily life was faced with new challenges, distances became barriers, inequalities grew, and meetings (and conferences) moved online.

Nevertheless, conferences like IMC that provide exceptional learning and networking opportunities through presentations, discussions, and more, cannot be fully virtualized. That’s why IMC2022 will once again be hosted as an on-site event in September 2022 in Innsbruck!
